Brighton based outfit Dubious Roots are set to launch their next single entitled Gun Control on January 15th after an understandably quiet 2020.
The track starts with a chord progression reminiscent of a more aggressive Man at C&A by The Specials before launching into a mid paced Culture Shock styled skanker with a nice bit of melodica in the background. Floyd's voice has a quintessentially Southern lilt and adds to the haunting feel of the verses as they challenge the rise of gun crime in schools in the States. The introduction of female vocals introduces a slower more dubby feel to the track. A strong start to the year from the Sussex Six.
